Über unsere Cookies

This Cookie Policy explains how Wambesha uses cookies and similar technologies. We believe in being transparent about data practices and keeping cookie usage to the minimum needed for the Service to work.

We do not use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics services. All cookies are first-party and either essential or functional. We do use a third-party error-reporting service (Sentry, hosted in the EU) so that crashes get fixed — it sets no cookie, does not track you across sites, and is described in our Privacy Policy.

Lokaler Speicher

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage (and, where noted, sessionStorage) for:

  • wambesh_cookie_notice_dismissed — records that you've acknowledged the cookie notice banner. Stored permanently in your browser and never sent to our servers.
  • wambesh_get_app_dismissed_at — records when you closed the "Get the app" card shown to Android phone browsers, so it stays hidden for 30 days. Stored in your browser and never sent to our servers.
  • wambesh_in_app_tab — set when our Android app opens one of our pages in your browser, so that browser tab does not invite you to get the app you are already using. Kept in sessionStorage, which your browser clears when you close the tab, and never sent to our servers.

Ähnliche Technologien

Guest fingerprinting — for unauthenticated visitors, we create a pseudonymous device identifier by hashing browser attributes (screen size, timezone, language, platform) with SHA-256. This hash is stored in Redis with a 35-day TTL and used only for counting unique visitors. It can't identify you personally and isn't linked to any account.

Cookies verwalten

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Keep in mind that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Wambesha. The PREFERRED_LOCALE cookie is optional — if removed, we'll detect your language from your browser settings.

To see the cookie notice or the "Get the app" card again, delete the wambesh_cookie_notice_dismissed or wambesh_get_app_dismissed_at entry from your browser's localStorage via developer tools (Application → Local Storage), or clear this site's data in your browser settings, which removes all of the entries above.
