Glossary

The words the reference, the console and your invoice use, each with one meaning.

Terms

  • Request

Any call to a /v1 endpoint. Your plan includes a number of requests each day and each UTC month.

  • Verification

The one metered unit. Every successful request to /v1/titles/{titleRef}/sources spends exactly one, whether we check again or already hold the answer; a refused or failed one spends none, and no other endpoint spends one.

  • Allowance

How many requests (each day and each UTC month) and verifications (each day and each billing period) your plan includes.

  • Spending limit

The most you allow extra verifications past your allowance to cost in a billing period. You set it in the console.

  • Flood limit

A ceiling on calls from one address, counted before a key is read. See the rate limits guide.

  • Title reference

A title's public id, such as mv_3RGB99HMTQ, or an outside id that /v1/lookup resolves.

  • Cursor

An opaque string that fetches the next page of a list. See the pagination guide.

  • Change feed

/v1/changes: what changed in the catalogue since a point you name, in order.

  • Demo key

The public key the reference's Try-it uses: daily rotation, a fixed set of endpoints, tight limits.
