Wambesha ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Contact email: [email protected]
When you use Wambesha, we collect and process the following personal data:
Under the GDPR, we process your data on these legal bases:
Wambesha stores your data in the European Economic Area: our servers are in Germany, and the media delivery edge is in Finland. No copy of your account, library or community data is stored outside the EEA.
Serving the site is a separate matter from storing the data. Our pages and API responses are delivered through Cloudflare's global network, so the request metadata needed to route and secure a request — including your IP address — is processed at whichever location is nearest you, which may be outside the EEA. Our service providers (Resend, Twilio, Cloudflare) maintain appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable. Our error-reporting provider (Sentry) is configured to store data in the European Union, so those diagnostics do not leave the EEA at all.
Under the GDPR, you have these rights:
You can exercise most rights directly on the platform:
For anything you can't do through the platform, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days as required by the GDPR.
You must be at least 13 to use Wambesha. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. During registration, users confirm they meet the age requirement.
If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13, we'll delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, please contact [email protected].
We do not use automated profiling to make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant consequences for you.
Content recommendations (when available) are non-binding suggestions — they don't affect your access to features or content. We don't run any algorithmic penalty or scoring system that impacts your account standing.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including:
No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a data breach that affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make important changes, we'll update the version number and date at the top.
We encourage you to check this page periodically. Continued use of Wambesha after changes means you accept the updated policy.
