This policy covers every paid Wambesha plan bought directly from us. If you bought through a reseller or under a negotiated agreement, that agreement governs instead.
Plans, rates and allowances are published on our pricing page.
The Free plan is permanent and needs no card. It exists so you can evaluate the API on real data before spending anything, which is also why we do not run time-limited trials.
You can have a full refund within 14 days of any payment, for any reason or none.
That applies to a first subscription, a renewal and an upgrade alike. You do not have to explain, and we do not ask what you used it for. We do not deduct the verifications you already spent.
Refunds go back to the card or account that paid, and normally clear within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your developer console. Cancelling takes effect at once — there is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
If you cancel part-way through a period you have already paid for, contact us and we will refund the unused part, prorated to the day.
Your licence to the records you retrieved ends with your subscription, and you must delete stored records within 30 days. The full term is in our Terms of Service.
On the paid plans, verifications past your monthly allowance are billed at the published per-verification rate. The Free plan can never bill overage at all: past its allowance, requests are refused rather than charged.
If this is the first time your account has gone over, contact us and we will waive that overage in full. It is a one-time goodwill credit, applied on request rather than automatically.
You can also set a hard cap in the console. With a cap on, requests past it are refused and you cannot be billed above your plan. We would rather refuse a request than send you a surprise invoice.
If a fault on our side stops you using the API for a sustained period, tell us and we will credit or refund the affected part of your period. We do not require you to prove loss.
Current and historical availability is on our status page.

We reply within two business days and, where a refund is due, issue it in the same reply rather than after a review.
