How to delete your Wambesha account, and what happens to your data when you do. Wambesha is operated by Wambesha LLC.
Sign in, open Settings and choose Delete account. The steps are the same in the app and on this site. We confirm it is you with a code before anything is deleted.
Deletion is scheduled, not immediate. Sign in again within 30 days and you can cancel it and keep your account. After that it cannot be undone.
After the grace period your account is anonymised: your username, email address and display name are replaced, and your personal records are removed: profile, bio and avatar, sign-in methods, trusted devices, preferences, watchlist, ratings, history and reactions.
Your community posts and replies stay, with your name removed, so conversations still read. A shared collection other members saved stays for them, also without your name. Security and audit logs are kept for 7 years; the email address in them is pseudonymised 90 days after deletion. The Privacy Policy lists every retention period.
