Wambesha is a factual catalogue of film and television records, and an API for looking them up. This policy says what you may and may not do with that data. It applies to every plan, including the free one.

We store no media, transcode nothing, and operate no player. Nothing in any plan grants any right to a film.

Within your plan's limits, you may:

• query the API from your own product, server-side or client-side
• cache responses for as long as your plan's licence runs, to keep your product fast
• display our records to your users, with attribution

You may not:

• systematically extract the catalogue in order to rebuild it elsewhere, whether by API, by crawling, or by any combination of the two
• resell or redistribute the raw records as a dataset, or make them available in bulk
• use the data to train a model whose purpose is to reproduce the catalogue
• present our records as your own, or strip attribution
• describe our service to your users as a source of films, streams or downloads — it is a record of where a work is held, not the work
• share, sell or publish an API key, or use one you were not issued

Limits are enforced automatically and answer with a 429 and a Retry-After. Working around them — rotating keys, spreading a single workload across accounts, or using several free accounts where one paid plan is due — is a breach of this policy rather than a technique.

Where you display our records to end users, credit Wambesha visibly and link back to the record. Attribution may be compact, but it may not be hidden, hover-only, or placed where a normal reader would not find it.

Records are licensed to you while you are a customer, and must be deleted within 30 days of your subscription ending.

Aggregated statistics that cannot be used to reconstruct a record are exempt. The binding term is in our Terms of Service.

Most breaches are accidents, and we treat them that way: we contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where the breach is deliberate, ongoing, or puts the catalogue's rights position at risk, we can suspend a key or an account immediately.

We tell you what we found and what we did, and you can appeal. A suspension for a first, correctable breach is lifted as soon as it is corrected.
